Birthdays in November...

So maybe it was all the excitement of Christmas shopping, or just the fact that we can never wait for anything, but either way... this year our birthdays came early! It seems like this is becoming sort of a tradition. With both of our birthdays in December, we feel like our birthdays don't always receive our full attention. Not that people don't still celebrate our birthday, but that we only have a couple weeks to enjoy that time before the busyness of Christmas. So now that I've made some sort of reasonable justification for it...
we like to do our birthdays as early as humanly possible! (Mainly because we like presents!)

This year the birthday mood began at about 4:30am on Black-Friday with me standing in line at RadioShack. I told my mom that I wanted a Flip camera for Christmas and that it was on sale if she wanted to wait in line. She responded with, "I'll give you the money and you can have it for your birthday, but you have to stand in line." So at about 5:37am on Friday I had my first birthday present of the year!

I ordered Meg's birthday present off of Amazon on Thursday after I had one of those only-visible-if-you're-on-tv-light-bulbs turn on in my head, and I was eligible for cheap 1day shipping (only $3.99) so I thought "well this is the only time in my life that will happen" and decided to do it.

All of that to say this... today we traded birthday presents!!! Meg got me tickets to see The Trans Siberian Orchestra the day after my birthday, and I got Meg the new Kindle 3G.

This year was one of the first where we were both truly surprised. I had no idea about the tickets and she never saw the Kindle coming!
Needless to say it was a great day!
