The MooreThe Merrier!

We have a new name!

And some news!

We're pregnant! We found out last week (2/8)!

I woke up Tuesday morning and decided to take a test... to my surprise it was positive! I spent most of Tuesday freaking out, being really excited and begging Daniel to come home early. I didn't want to tell him over the phone, so I decided to give him a gift. I put a onesie that says "My Daddy Rocks!" in a small box and wrote "Happy Valentine's Day!" on the front. When he opened the box he said "Really? Like... really, really?" and then gave me a huge bear hug! It was precious!

The Present

"I don't think this is going to fit..."

We told my Mom and Grandparents, his Mom & Dad, Nana, and Sister over the weekend. They were all surprised but excited! We got Gauge a shirt that says "I'm gonna be a big brother!" and used that to tell our parents. My mom thought we were getting a puppy so we had to tell her... nope, we're pregnant!

We have affectionately dubbed the baby "Baby Mo"!

We think that we're between 4 and 5 weeks and some of the "due date calculators" that I have used place our estimated due date around October 22nd.

According to babycenter.com this is what's going on with Baby Mo's development this week:
This week marks the beginning of the embryonic period. From now until 10 weeks, all of your baby's organs will begin to develop and some will even begin to function. As a result, this is the time when she'll be most vulnerable to anything that might interfere with her development.
Right now your baby is an embryo the size of a poppy seed, consisting of two layers: the epiblast and the hypoblast, from which all of her organs and body parts will develop.

The next six weeks are critical to your baby's development. The rudimentary versions of the placenta and umbilical cord, which deliver nourishment and oxygen to your baby, are already functioning. Through the placenta, your baby is exposed to what you take into your body, so make sure it's good for both of you.

Baby Mo doesn't look like a baby yet, but here's what he or she may look like right now!

We are really excited about this new chapter in our lives and are really looking forward to the next nine months as we prepare to bring a tiny human into this world!
